I acknowledge that authentic connection with our children in an ever-increasingly complex world isn’t easy, however arriving at a ‘good enough’ parenting space is doable. In using the phrase ‘being in it together’ I wanted to reflect the often quoted line of “it takes a village to raise a child”

Professional people have long been recognised as part of the village and can take a role in caring for and supporting the development of the next generation. Our children can benefit enormously from the convergence of knowledge and life wisdom from  parents, wider whanau members, family friends and professionals.

A very real part of the challenge for parents can be our own upbringing and life experiences.

Parenting from the Inside Out  Authored by Daniel Siegel, MD and Mary Hartzell, MEd, speaks to how a deeper self-understanding can help raise children who thrive.

In order to support the work you do at home I am able to meet with you to explore how self-understanding can illuminate your own parenting journey.
